Daybreak Canvas Print

Acrylic painting in greyscale. My idea for this painting came during an early morning walk whilst visiting friends. They live in a small village surrounded by woodland near Northumberland England. I painted this image from the memory of that visit. This is a first for me to paint in black and white. I do like the misty calm mood the greyscale lends to this scenic painting.

My name is Kenneth Clarke and I am a self taught artist living in rural countryside in the north east of England. My artwork is influenced by my love of nature and a peaceful life near woodland area and meadow,s. I paint because it provides an outlet for my creativity and I find art very relaxing and tranquil. Peace and tranquillity can be seen in my ongoing series of black and white countryside landscapes. Tree,s, drystone walls and wooden fences feature in almost all my current work. Occasionally little mice playing or having fun feature in garden scenes.
